The National University of Uzbekistan organized a cultural and educational event at the Embassy in Berlin
On November 15 of this year, the National University of Uzbekistan held a cultural and educational event titled "Invaluable Heritage of Uzbekistan" at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Berlin, Germany.The event, organized in collaboration with the Embassy, was dedicated to the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which is scheduled to take place in Samarkand in 2025.
The event was attended by the team from the National University of Uzbekistan, talented students, representatives of the Uzbekistan Embassy, Uzbeks living in Germany and Uzbek youth studying there, German experts, and distinguished guests.
The event was opened with an introductory speech by Dilshod Akhatov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, who touched upon the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, relations in the field of education, as well as the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
After that, Vice-Rector for International Relations of NUUz Raima Shirinova made a presentation about the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference and the potential of gastronomic tourism in Uzbekistan, and Professor of NUUz Akbar Bobobekov about the objects included in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan and their protection.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of ceramics, miniatures and fine arts, embroidery, as well as Uzbek national dishes and confectionery products was organized.
The musical and artistic part of the event was masterfully performed by artists led by the singer of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, Asliddin Dustov, and talented students of the Uzbek National University, Uzbek national melodies and songs included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
