An effective meeting is the key to purposeful cooperation

On March 3, 2021, a delegation headed by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko visited the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. Rector of NUUz Inom Madjidov met the rector and vice-rectors of the National Technical University of Belarus, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University named after Francisk Skorina and other universities.

Inom Madjidov warmly greeted the guests of the university and spoke in detail about the history, structure and current strategic plans of the university. In turn, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko made clear and targeted proposals for long-term cooperation in the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, achievements and further expansion of cooperation. I.V. Karpenko also noted that today in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus they are always happy and open for Uzbek youth, for the preparation of competitive personnel, highly appreciating their enthusiasm, interest and desire for education.

During the meeting, the parties stressed the need for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation, signing agreements in many areas and effective work on their implementation. In particular, special attention was paid to the training of personnel in promising areas in demand in the labor market, the training of professors and teachers, scientific internships, the expansion of cooperation in the field of teaching and research, the effective use of scientific laboratories and research institutes in doctoral studies and independent research.

The parties also noted that Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus regard each other as important and long-term partners, are ready to expand international cooperation based on mutual trust and always support each other in serving the interests of the two peoples.

During the meeting, which was held in an open and constructive spirit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the National Technical University of Belarus and the Republican Institute of Professional Education. According to him, in the 2021-2022 academic year, a joint educational program 2+ 2 will be launched in the areas of laser physics, "Materials Science and Materials Technology" (by industry) and "Renewable Energy Sources and Physics of a Sustainable Environment".
